Tips to Master Evony

Server Rules to Ensure Fair Play and Fun for All Evony Players

These rules are designed to make your time on the Evony server fair and enjoyable. Please take the time to read and adhere to them, as they will help you grow, connect with others, and be part of a vibrant community.

NAP (Non-Aggression Pact) Rules

The NAP is active at all times, except during the Kill Event (KE), which occurs during the Monarch competition when it reaches 5/5. During the NAP, the following rules apply:

  1. DO NOT attack cities that belong to any Alliance. You may attack players without an Alliance. Alliance members are identified by an abbreviation before their name, e.g., [ENT] M O R T.
  2. DO NOT attack Sub Cities, tiles, or resource points such as Farms, Quarries, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS.

KE (Kill Event) Rules

The KE rules come into effect during period 5/5 of the Monarch event. If you do not want to participate in KE, please use a bubble. During KE, the following rules apply:

  1. You can attack cities belonging to any Alliance.
  2. You can attack players without an Alliance.
  3. DO NOT attack Sub Cities, tiles, or resource points such as Farms, Quarries, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  4. DO NOT complain if your city is attacked during KE. Not using a bubble means you are participating in KE—no exceptions or excuses. If you don’t want to lose power, troops, or resources, use a bubble.
  5. DO NOT complain if you lose after attacking someone during KE. Participation in KE comes with the risk of losing everything. If you lose, understand that it's part of the event.

Consequences for Breaking KE or NAP Rules

New players may make mistakes. If you are attacked in violation of the rules, try to resolve the situation calmly and constructively, as helping players learn benefits the server in the long run.

If a rule is broken, the following steps should be taken:

  1. Message the player who broke the rule.
  2. Message the leader of the Alliance the offending player belongs to.
  3. If no response is received, resend the message and post in GC (Global Chat) stating you are awaiting a response.
  4. If a response is received, aim to resolve the issue through compensation (healing/replacing troops, speedups, etc.) from the offender or their Alliance leader.
  5. If no response is received after a reasonable time (e.g., 15 minutes for recent attacks, up to 8 hours for older ones), escalate the issue to your R4/R5. They will decide whether to allow more time or post a public message in GC.
  6. The Server King or an R4 from the Server King's Alliance will review the situation and take one of the following actions:
    1. Warning: The offending player and their Alliance receive a warning.
    2. Impaired: The offending player will be issued an "Underclass" title, this will reduce certain abilities in the game until removed.
    3. KOS (Kill on Sight): The player is declared KOS, meaning they and their Alliance members (if not booted) can be attacked freely. A KOS status remains until lifted by the Server King or their R4.

Server Respect and Etiquette

Evony is a game, and games should be fun. Like all PvP games, there will be moments of frustration. If you find yourself getting angry or upset, log off, cool down, and remember it's just a game. Bringing aggression or breaking the rules will have consequences. Always aim to:

  • Respect Other Players: Offensive behavior, harassment, and bullying are strictly prohibited. Treat all players with respect, both in-game and in communication channels.
  • Maintain a Positive Environment: Help create a welcoming and competitive space where players can enjoy the game without fear of unfair play or hostility.

By following these rules, you contribute to a balanced and enjoyable server experience, allowing everyone to thrive and compete fairly in Evony.
