Tips to Master Evony

What is a "Bubble" (Truce Agreement) in Evony?

In Evony, a "bubble", also known as a Truce Agreement, is a protective shield that you can activate over your city to prevent enemy players from attacking you. When your city is bubbled, opponents cannot launch any offensive actions against you, making it a vital defensive tool in the game.

Why Use a Bubble in Evony?

Evony is a competitive game where players frequently engage in battles to seize resources, defeat enemies, and gain power. If your city is left unprotected, you risk being attacked, which can lead to the loss of resources, damage to your army, and set back your growth. This is where the bubble comes in—by activating a Truce Agreement, you safeguard your city from attacks for a set period, usually 8 or 24 hours though you can choose a 3 or 7 day truce agreement.

The Importance of Bubbling During Killing Events (KE)

Killing Events (KE) are special game events where players earn points by attacking and defeating other players. These events are highly competitive, with many alliances and players aggressively seeking out targets to increase their scores. During KE, your city becomes a prime target, especially if you have large armies or valuable resources.

Here are a few reasons why it is essential to use a bubble during KE:

  1. Protection from Attacks – Without a bubble, your city is vulnerable to attacks from other players who are looking to score points during the event. A bubble provides an immediate safeguard against these attacks.
  2. Prevent Resource Loss – If you're attacked during KE, not only could you lose your troops, but your resources (wood, food, stone, ore) can also be plundered by enemy players, severely slowing down your growth.
  3. Preserve Your Army – Rebuilding an army after a defeat can be costly in terms of time and resources. Bubbling ensures that your hard-earned troops are not needlessly lost during KE.
  4. Strategic Peace – Even if you aren’t actively participating in KE, bubbling allows you to sit out of the chaos without being targeted, preserving your progress while others battle it out.

How to Use a Bubble (Truce Agreement)

Activating a bubble is straightforward:

  1. Go to the items section in your inventory.
  2. Select a Truce Agreement (typically available for 8 hours, 24 hours, or longer).
  3. Activate it to shield your city from any attacks.

OR

  1. Go to your fort and click on it.
  2. Select "City Buff"
  3. Select "Truce Agreement"
  4. Select a Truce Agreement (choose 8 hours, 24 hours, 3 Days or 7 Days). If you are not going to participate in a KE (Killing Eevent) it is recommended to use a 3 day Truce Agreement so always keep at least 2500 gems in your inventory so you can activate as required. Most new players get destroyed because they fail to learn this simple lesson.
  5. Activate the Truce Agreement to shield your city from any attacks.

It’s important to remember that your bubble will expire after the designated time, so make sure to keep track of it, especially during KE. You can always reapply a new Truce Agreement when needed.

Stay Safe, Stay Protected!

Using a bubble is a simple but essential strategy for protecting your progress in Evony, especially during Killing Events. Whether you're participating in the event or just trying to avoid the chaos, make sure to activate your Truce Agreement and safeguard your city from potential losses.

Reminder: If you choose not to use a bubble (Truce Agreement) during a Killing Event (KE), then you must understand that it is your own decision. Evony is a PvP (Player vs. Player) game, and part of the gameplay involves players attacking one another, especially during events like KE.

No one enjoys losing everything they've worked hard to build, and it can be frustrating, but it’s essential to take responsibility for your own actions—or in this case, your lack of actions. The simple rule is: if you don’t bubble, you are signaling to other players that you are participating in the KE. So, if you want to avoid being targeted, make sure to activate your Truce Agreement!
